The Department of CSE started its undergraduate program, BE (CSE), in 1985 with an initial intake of 20 students. Over the years, the department has expanded significantly and now accommodates 300 students across three undergraduate programs: BE (CSE), BE CSE (AI & ML), and BE CSE (IoT & CS including Blockchain Technology). The M.Tech in CSE was introduced in 2002 with an intake of 18 students, which was later increased to 36 in 2011. The intellectual environment in the CSE Department is conducive to the holistic development of students, supported by well-equipped labs.The BE-CSE program was first accredited by the NBA (AICTE) in 1998 with an 'A' grade for three years. Subsequently, the BE-CSE program has been reaccredited in 2004, 2008, 2013, and 2017.
